Joining a Family (Invite Code or QR Code)

If someone already created a family, you don't need to create a new one — you join theirs using an invite code or a QR code.

As an adult (co-parent)

  1. Ask the family owner for the Family ID or invite code, found in the family owner's Settings.
  2. On the mode-selection screen, choose Parent Mode, then Join Family.
  3. Enter the code and confirm. You'll join with the member role (see Family Member Roles).

As a kid

Kids don't sign in with email — they activate their own device using a code or QR code generated by a parent.

  1. A parent opens Manage Kids, selects the kid, and shows the QR code or invite code.
  2. On the kid's device, open PraiseMe, choose Kid Mode, and either scan the QR code or type the code in manually.
  3. The device is now linked to that kid's profile and stays signed in until the kid (or a parent) logs out.
