Requesting and Approving Payouts
A payout is when a kid actually spends (redeems) their points on a reward.
How a kid requests a payout
- In Kid Mode, go to Rewards.
- Pick a reward from the family's preset list (or a custom amount, if allowed).
- Tap Redeem — this creates a pending payout and reserves the points so they can't be spent twice.
How a parent approves it
- Go to Payouts on the parent dashboard.
- Review the pending request.
- Approve once you've actually given the kid the reward (screen time, treat, etc.) — this finalizes the point deduction.
- Cancel if the payout shouldn't go through — the reserved points are returned to the kid's balance.
