Notifications & Reminders
PraiseMe uses push notifications to keep parents and kids in the loop without needing to keep the app open.
What triggers a notification
- A kid completes a task — the parent is notified there's something to approve.
- A parent approves or rejects a task — the kid is notified of the outcome.
- A praise request or payout request is submitted — the parent is notified.
- A task reminder fires — the kid is notified shortly before a task's due time (see Due Dates & Reminders).
- A kid levels up — both the kid and parent are notified.
Managing notifications
Notifications are sent automatically based on family activity and don't require separate setup — they use the same account you signed in or activated with. If you've disabled notifications for the app in your device's system settings, PraiseMe won't be able to deliver them, even though the in-app activity still updates normally.
